A few hours left 'til the sun's gonna rise
Tomorrow will come and we’ll soon realize
It’s time to savour, our final ovation.
Just one last dance,
Before we say goodbye.

Anyway my grandfather was complaining about how they’ve no coffee and everything, complain damn long damn loud, the couple sharing the same table as us decided to give him their packet. LOL super nice people.. Although it was a tad bit embarrassing. ):

Eeyur, the cold noodles sucked too.

May 姐 once again told us to put on our thickest clothes, and this time I trusted her because the degree that day was between -14 and -2. And as you might have guessed, all the lakes were frozen. x]

5-6 layers of clothes, beanie, scarf, 2 gloves, two socks, and I was still freezing to death.

Lol do the comparison. & it was hard to hold the camera. D:

避暑山庄
C-O-L-D. And incredibly big. But it’s a super, super beautiful place.

The Mountain Resort in Chengde situated in the city of Chengde in Hebei Province, China, is the world's largest existing imperial garden.

Built between 1703 and 1792, the Mountain Resort took 89 years to complete. It covers a total area of 5.6 km², almost half of Chengde's urban area. It is a vast complex of palaces and administrative and ceremonial buildings. Temples of various architectural styles and imperial gardens blend harmoniously into a landscape of lakes, pastureland and forests.

The Kangxi, Qianlong and Jiaqing Emperors often spent several months a year here to escape the summer heat in the capital city of Beijing and the palace zone in the southern part of the resort was therefore designed to resemble the Forbidden City in Beijing. It consists of two parts: a court in front, where the emperor received high officials, nobles of various minority nationalities, and foreign envoys; and bed chambers in the rear, which were the imperial family's living quarters.

True to its name, the Mountain Resort is known to be at least 3 degrees Celsius cooler than Chengde City itself.

The above 5 pictures is where they wrote/compiled 四库全书.

The Siku Quanshu, variously translated as the Imperial Collection of Four, Emperor's Four Treasuries, Complete Library in Four Branches of Literature, or Complete Library of the Four Treasuries, is the largest collection of books in Chinese history and probably the most ambitious editorial enterprise in the history of the world.

Frozen lake.

At there my toes and fingers BROKEalmost broke and it was really very painful. D:
Never been to such cold place before okay, that morning was like -10? Then we all could barely talk and somehow all the thick clothes didn’t help at all, all we wanted to do was to get back on the darling bus and cry. :’(

Evidence of super-coldness:

When afternoon came it got slightly better, but still bad. I mean like even our mucus FROZE okay.

The saviour.
& so I was screaming in delight when the bus came to view, going “4704!!! 4704!!!” like some hyper mad kid.

Little Potala Palace (普陀宗乘之庙)
The name sounds so adorable. :D

The Putuo Zongcheng Temple of Chengde, Hebei province, China is a Qing Dynasty era Buddhist temple complex built between 1767 and 1771, during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1735-1796). It is located near the Chengde Mountain Resort, which is south of the Putuo Zongcheng. Along with the equally famed Puning Temple, it is one of the Eight Outer Temples of Chengde. The temple was modeled after the Potala Palace of Tibet, the old sanctuary of the Dalai Lama built a century earlier. Hence the Putuo Zongcheng has been nicknamed the "Little Potala Palace". Since it was modeled after the Potala palace, the temple represents a fusion of Chinese and Tibetan architectural styles. The temple complex covers a surface area of some 220,000 square meters, making it one of the largest in China. Many of its halls and pavilions are adorned with copper and gold tiled roofs, adding to the splendor of the site.
